Natural Disaster News Reports

Well at last, here they are, our finished news reports!

Our year fives did an amazing job of researching their natural disaster, making an animation on it, and filming their news reports.  The finished projects were put together using iMovie.

Take a look at a small sample of what we achieved:

Great job everyone! ūüôā

Year Fives in the Kitchen

cooking photogrid

Year 5FJ were the last grade to hit the kitchen this week to make their caramel popcorn.  They had a great time popping the corn and making caramel sauce.

They did a great job cleaning up too, especially Mikey!¬† He did such a great job of the cleaning that¬†I think¬†he should do all the cleaning at home ūüėČ

Back in the library, we made some photo stories of the recipe using Shadow Puppet.  These photo stories were made by Dua, Candace and Georgia.  Press play below and have a look.  Maybe you can make your own caramel popcorn?

Lego Sizzling Starts

Mermaid One

“Fishermen are so stupid these days, do they actually think I am going to let them catch me on that stupid hook of theirs and then cook me. Well guess what? They are messing with the wrong mermaid?”

Marley

Mermaid 2

“I’m so mad. I want some one to be friends with me.”

“Oh my! I found a treasure chest. I want to open that chest.”

Matt

¬†Screen Shot 2014-10-21 at 2.31.16 pm“Oh my gosh! A mermaid.”

“Don’t look at me like that!!”

She was so beautiful that my eyes were close to bursting. She doesn’t like people looking at her but who cares.

Manal

Mermaid 4

Swish, swish, the sound of the ocean is lovely on this beautiful morning.  Bang!!!!!  The angry mermaid is very mad. In fact extremely mad that she has lost her teapot. She looks everywhere but she can not find it anywhere. Can you see it?
